Ninety two men and women participated in the Tenth Annual Golf Tournament for the East Tennessee Christian Home & Academy. Ron Marvel, Director of Development, stated “the successful fundraiser was due to the strong leadership of Delores Fox, chairperson of ETCHA, our board and the many volunteer hours of planning and preparation as well as the generous support of our Partner James Crouch, Hole Sponsors, Cart Sponsors and in-kind donors”. Approximately $18,000 was raised to benefit the operating expenses of the residential education for at-risk adolescent girls.
Jerry Leeper , Avoca Christian Church Bristol, won the trophy for being closest to the 10th hole. Chris and Glen Guy, Hunter United Methodist Church Elizabethton TN took first place in the Men’s Division with a score of 57. First place in the Senior Division was achieved by Caroll Deaton and Ansley Bishop, First Christian Church Erwin by scoring a 63. Keegan and Jackie Lahr, Avoca Christian Church, had a score of 60 to win the Mixed Division. Todd Edmondson, First Christian Church Erwin was given the Pastor’s Trophy because 16 of his church’s members played in the tournament.
